So Thankful!
I am so thankful to my heavenly father for knowing me personally, for knowing exactly what I need and what I can handle. Its amazing how heavenly father knows me better then I even know myself. I truly know I wouldn't have been able to get through everything, from being a mom and wife to getting everything done at school and at clinicals without my heavenly father helping me. I lean on him so much, I know that he knows what's in my heart, he knows my needs. When times get so hard and I don't think I get everything done, I feel like I'm being pulled in a thousand directions, I feel heavenly fathers reassurance that I can handle this and that he is there to help me get through it. My family has always been there to help and support me but I have especially needed them lately. Clay is so wonderful, he does so many things that most husbands wouldn't even think about doing to help out. And he always does them willingly without complaining, I usually and the one who feels guilty, like he shouldn't have to do all that he does. He always tells me he wants to help and not to feel guilty, but I still do. I am so thankful for Clay, and for the wonderful husband and father that he is. My mom has been so great, she watches the girls for me all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays while I'm at my clinical. By the time I get home sometimes I can tell that she is so tired from chasing Mea and taking care of Kaitlyn. I am so thankful for her help, without her I really wouldn't be able to go school. She is always willing and expects nothing in return, I love her so much! I have the best sisters in the whole world, I know whenever I need them they will come to do whatever. Usually its to entertain Mea while I study. I'm so thankful that I got to have them come and stay with us last year that is time that I will always remember with them. Really I am truly blessed!

Kaitlyn's Delivery
I was so blessed with my labor and delivery of Kaitlyn. I was so worried because I couldn't take much time off from school, I prayed and prayed to heavenly father that I would be able to handle everything after I had Kaitlyn. I went to the doctors on the 10th for my weekly check up and I was dilated to a five and fully effaced. Now I thought nothing of it because with Maleah I was dilated to almost a five for a week and half. My doctor Dr. Maynard said he though I was ready and was going to strip my membranes and if I didn't go into labor then he would start me in four to five days. I went home that night and had a little cramping but that was all. Clay was supposed to go into work that night, so he asked me if I thought anything would happen and if he should go in. I told him yes because I didn't feel anything and I didn't really think anything would happen. So I went to bed fine and slept all night, I woke up at 7:30 my usual time because that is when Mea wakes up. I went to the bathroom and immediately after I was done I though my water broke but I wasn't sure because it was just a trickle. Well 15 minutes later it was still trickling and so I knew that my water had broke. I called Clay and told him he needed to leave work, it takes him about 45 minutes usually to get home so he said he would leave. I started having contractions soon after that and they didn't really get gradually hard they were hard from the beginning. Mea was crying because I was crying and she didn't understand why I couldn't hold her. I didn't have any of my bags packed, so in between contractions I was running around trying to find everything I would need, luckily I at least had made a list. Clay finally got home, it took him a while because the roads were slick so he was trying to hurry but not slide off the road. He wanted to shower before we went to the hospital but I told him there was not time, and as soon as my sister got to our house to watch Mea we were on our way. I got to the hospital a little before 9:00 and I had Kaitlyn at 12:05. I had an epidural and it actually worked this time, except for on the left side, weird I know. I was fine except in this little circle on my left hip area I was having so much pain there. They said to roll up on my left side to try to have gravity help get the epidural over to that area but it wasn't working. I was starting to feel a lot of pressure like I needed to push, the nurse told me we needed to wait until the anesthesiologist came in to fix my epidural, he finally made it in and gave me some more epidural but like five minutes after that my doctor was ready, and I was defiantly ready to start pushing, WOW what a difference an epidural makes, I still always had pain in the left hip area but compared to with Mea it was nothing. I only had to push for 24 minutes and Kaitlyn was here. I had the same doctor as with Mea and he promised me that this delivery wouldn't be as bad the with Mea, I have a narrow pelvic opening and so with Mea I couldn't push her out so her heart rate kept dropping and Dr. Maynard was really worried. This is why he didn't want me to go full term with Kaitlyn, so she would be smaller then Mea who was 8lb 3oz, not a huge baby but huge for me. Kaitlyn was the perfect size, what a difference a pound makes, and the fact that it was my second. After the delivery I felt great I was tired but really not in that much pain, I was able to get out of bed and go to the bathroom by myself the next day and I could walk fine a few hours after the delivery, which with Mea I could not. The hospital stay was fine but I really just wanted to get home, I left the next morning after I had her by noon. We love Kaitlyn so much and are so glad she is in our family. From the time we brought her home everything just felt so right, like she had always been a part of our family and like she was supposed to be here with us and we wouldn't trade her for anything.
